Course Description:
The Crofton High School and Junior High Concert Choir course is designed to offer vocal music education and performing opportunities. The primary focus of this ensemble class will be to study vocal performance techniques. Many different musical styles will be studied through the year.
This group will give several concerts through the year, and they will attend a festival where they will be adjudicated by a panel of judges. The class will focus on music fundamentals, intermediate performing techniques, and other music components suitable to the students that are enrolled in the class.
Learner Indicators
* Continue to develop the singing voice and range while becoming aware of how their voice fits into the ensemble
* Be able to sing 3-4 part music and understand where they fit into the harmony.
* Be able to follow along in 3 or more part music and know which part they are responsible for.
* Understand what the purpose of dynamics and expression are in a song and be able to execute them accurately.
* Continue to develop a sense of ensemble. I.e. understand how parts fit together and how everyone works together to produce an accurate performance of the music at hand.

November 8th- Mid-States Vocal Clinic in Pierce. Concert at 5:00 pm
November 11th- Veteran's Day Program at School- 11:00 AM- All students need to wear dress clothes for this performance
November 16-19- Nebraska All-State Chorus- Lincoln Nebraska- Selected into this prestigious honor choir were Roy Knapp, Jack Schieffer, Karley Schieffer, and Elizabeth Wortmann.
November 23rd- National Anthem at Championship foodball in Lincoln- Televised on NET at 2:42 PM. Group performing includes Karley Schieffer, Elizabeth Wortmann, Roy Knapp, Jack Schieffer
December 13th- Junior High and High School Christmas Concert at 7:00 pm
